Glossary of industrial organisation economics and competition law
This glossary of terms frequently used in the field of industrial organization economics and competition law has been compiled for pedagogical and training purposes. It is designed to assist the understanding of people unfamiliar with the basic concepts or terminology of modern micro-economics and the theory of the firm. The authors therefore have attempted to make the exposition simple and non-technical, but without sacrificing essential concepts. Supplementary references are provided for readers interested in further details. This directory is directed mainly at officials, academics, and policy makers in the Central and Eastern European countries, which are moving towards market economies. It should also be useful in OECD countries for university-level instruction.
