The main objective of this project is to provide professional assistances to the Kaohsiung City Government for promoting the M.I.C.E industry locally. Three important strategies including “Reinforcement of the ability of City Marketing & Sales”, “Establishment of all-round M.I.C.E service platform”, and “Elevation of the Power of the Kaohsiung M.I.C.E” were implemented to achieve the project goal. Crucial achievements of the project were highlighted as below:
1. Reinforcement of the ability of City Marketing & Sales By an efficient operation of the major outward-oriented media including the website of “Taiwan Kaohsiung M.I.C.E” and the Community Page of “Taiwan Kaohsiung M.I.C.E” on Facebook, the city’s reputation and the speed of local Meeting & Exhibition news have been successfully elevated. The website of “Taiwan M.I.C.E-Kaohsiung” achieved more than 200,000 page views, and the Community Page of “Taiwan Kaohsiung M.I.C.E” attracted nearly 5,000 newcomers (fans) during the execution period of this project.
2. Establishment of all-round service platform The establishment of both toll-free consultation phone no. and one-stop consultation window provide domestic and international M.I.C.E organizers a fluent and efficiency platform for mutual communication. Two staffs from TIER who have the ability of English fluency are also stationed in the project office at the Kaohsiung City Government to assured smooth operation of the Kaohsiung M.I.C.E office.
3. Elevation of the Power of the Kaohsiung M.I.C.E This project offers assistance such as integrated information of local transportation and accommodation, on-site inspection, and administrative communication between the organizers and Kaohsiung City Government, etc. for more than 20 M.I.C.E organizers to hold the events in Kaohsiung. Moreover, up to 53 items of research and administrative assistance were also provided for the Economic Development Bureau, Kaohsiung City Government.
